Choices are the mental and emotional processes of selecting among alternatives, shaped not just by logic but also by perception, past experience, faith, identity, and internal needs.
From a psychological standpoint, choices aren’t purely rational decisions; they’re influenced by things like cognitive biases, emotional state, fear of loss, desire for reward, and even how options are framed. What feels like a “free choice” is often filtered through your beliefs, habits, and subconscious patterns.
In simple terms, A choice is where your mind, emotions, and past collide to produce an action.
A useful way to think about it, if you want more control over your choices, is this: most people assume they’re choosing freely, but they’re often repeating patterns. The real power comes from noticing why you’re choosing something, not just what you choose.
Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
